Pappy began his tattooing journey in one of the most competitive markets in the country – Dallas, Texas. After developing a strong connection to the giants of tattooing’s past (Bert Grimm, Sailor Jerry Collins, Mike Malone, etc), his work began to reflect the love he has for the old school.
After a few years of tattooing in Dallas, Pappy moved to San Diego, California to work at the second-oldest shop in America. With the majority of this clientele being Navy and Marines, Pappy was able to utilize his traditional skills on a nearly daily basis.
